Based on what we see in Genesis 11:1–9, we can say that people build when they are united and speak one language. That was the strength behind the mission of the Tower of Babel. But the moment multiple languages were introduced into their midst, they stopped being united, became scattered, and the project was halted.
Just thinking, could this be the reason why it is so difficult for Nigeria to be built? As one of the most diverse nations in the world, with 250 ethnic groups and more than 500 languages, could this be the reason for the struggle to achieve a united nation that can truly be built?
Could the reverse be true for more developed nations that are more prosperous, especially in Europe, where they largely speak one language?
