Haste or fate? Why was Isaac in a hurry to bless Esau when he did Jacob?

Genesis 27

Why was Isaac in such a hurry to bless Esau? He didn’t die immediately. Isaac died at 180 years old. He was 60 years old when Esau and Jacob were born. Esau got married at 40, so Isaac was around 100 years old at that time. He blessed Jacob in error in the next chapter, meaning Isaac was already over 100 years old when the blessing happened.

The time lag between when the blessing occurred and when Isaac died was a minimum of 20 years, definitely more, because after the blessing was when Jacob fled to live with Laban in Paddan Aram. He served Laban for 20 years, 14 years for Rachel and Leah and an extra 6 years, before he fled Laban’s house.

He had his 12 sons, and the Dinah incident happened before he returned to Canaan with his family. All of these events occurred before Isaac died at 180 years old.

Just curious, the haste to bless Jacob on the day he did. Was it haste or destiny that moved him?
