I have observed again and again that God always has His replacement handy. One prayer that my father, Reverend Olusola Areogun, always leads us in is that our replacement will always be jobless.
God’s work cannot die; it may suffer if handled by a careless or slothful hand, but it will surely not die. Jesus speaking to the Pharisees sometime ago noted that even if we don’t worship Him, stones would. We definitely don’t want to dare!
Thoughts like these make me mellow and seek to align and cooperate with God because, omo! God cannot be boxed into a tight corner!
If you are trusted with the responsibility of being a husband or wife, we have got to seat up and team up with God on that assignment, because we can’t stand in His way.
If trusted with the responsibility of parenting, we have to constantly remind ourselves that God seeks godly seeds from us. He wants our quiver filled with viable arrows and our hands steady to aim and shoot them as mighty men.
I tell myself, girl, you better seat tight and understand the job description, seek training where there is a deficiency, because God’s work cannot die. It may suffer temporarily while a replacement is being prepared.
If you are entrusted with a kingdom assignment, do it with humility, knowing that your replacement is always right at your heels.
This humbling truth keeps me on my toes.
Just a spontaneous mid-day muse!
